Talia Weiss, Conservator

My name is Talia Weiss, and I am a full time conservator and marketing professional in London.  I hold both a MSc (Merit) in Conservation for Archaeology and Museums with a focus on sustainable built heritage, as well as a MA (Distinction) in Managing Archaeological Sites with a focus on site and building conservation - both from University College London.

I am fascinated by how historic buildings function and adapt in an ever growing 21st century, while maintaining their values. I have chosen this field of study with a growing interest in historic preservation and cultural heritage. I received my bachelor's degree from the Pennsylvania State University in anthropology with a concentration in archaeology, and a double minor in architectural history and Jewish Studies. I have now gained experience and worked for private conservation firms in both the US and UK

I have worked both as a project manager and a conservator, so I know how to work very well with others and for others. I am extremely meticulous, detail oriented and constantly willing to learn and listen. I have worked in Washington D.C., Rarotonga, Cook Islands, as well as Perugia, Italy. I have worked in all different circumstances and places, allowing me to be easily adaptable to whatever situation I am put in. I know how to work well under high pressure situations, handle important collections and how to work and communicate with clients.
