Global Treks and Adventures Guide to Rarotonga
Created and conducted ethnographic research on the tattoo history and culture of the Maori people of Rarotonga, the importance it still holds for both Rarotonga and the whole of the Cook Islands, and how it has influenced Polynesian tattoo culture, beginning in May 2016.
I travelled to Rarotonga in June 2016 to conduct research, understand the people of Rarotonga and the social climate of the Cook Islands. I wrote an essay on all of my findings on the tattoo culture and history, as well as a cultural “top 10” of the island.
I published the two sections of my writing in the Global Treks and Adventures guide to Rarotonga.
